Perl problems

I receved my Perl tablet last thursday (27 october) and I'm not so satisfied as I expected.

- the docking station port RJ45 is not working
- wheres is the microphone jack you say in specifications? it has only the headphone jack or the port is the same as microphone jack?
- Navit, GPS program is not working. Is it necessary to be configure? can you make a guide for it?
- how can I change the language of the system to english? I already try on
suporto lingue -> english -> applica globalmente
but the system is in a mix of english and italian. In "istalla/remuovi lingue" I even remove italian language and keep only english language but it is not the solution.
- can you tell me how to install the keyboard you show on 11.04 Perl video?
- how can I disable the auto brightness?
- how ca I disable banshee opening when pressing the hotkey on top-right botton?

are you sure, do you have try the docking station with ac adapter inserted?

yes, it is the same jack, you can use a headphone + microphone as the nokia phone

you can active the gps with the comand "sudo active-gps", but you have to configure navit, please see the ufficial navit wiki: http://wiki.navit-project.org/index.php/Configuring_Navit or search in internet, many website talk of it.

you have to active the onscreen keboard from the assistive tecnology menu

yes i tried with ac adapter and i'm sure because usb's are working. and today i tested microphone and headphone jacks and it is not working too.

i was talking about the mini pop-up window when clicked it shows the keyboard (at 0:52 http://youtu.be/yBzsW4Uv7m8 )

I think I deserve a response and I really like to have one...
But in meantime I found another problem: sometimes for no reason the system shut down and I don't know what could cause this. First I thought it was because of the temperature, but I throw that hypothesis away when it happened the second, third, fourth,... times and the tablet wasn't hot.
A different version of that problem is when only the screen back-light switch off (I know it's just the back-light because it happened when I was seen a movie and the sound continued work and also the light on power-button stilled on)
I already had detected this problem some weaks ago, but I thought it should be just that time, but it's repeating through time...

Hope you could help me with this, because it's so annoying and it interrupts my work.
Also I ask to the other users if it is happening to you.

Hi. I've experimented both problems 3 or 4 times in a month: sometimes tablet poweroff and sometimes screen unpowers (but banshee is still playing). i can not discard that they're temperature problems, my tablet is usually warm and fans are continually working (making noise).

I have experimented another videos isuues: sometimes ubuntu takes 2 minutes to boot video device (http://www.ekoore.com/forum/index.php/topic,431.0.html) and connection to tv via hdmi doesn't seem to work (http://www.ekoore.com/forum/index.php/topic,437.0.html). I'm not sure if all these problems are related and if they are software or hardware problems.

Both of this situations never happened again since I disable g_sensor for starting with the system (now I  use Jupiter applet to rotate the screen - http://www.jupiterapplet.org/). I don't know if the problem is related with g_sensor, but this is apparently solved.

Unchecked "Dim screen to save power" only disable auto brightness when the tablet is AC plugged!

About the time the system takes to boot (and how often happens the "long boot"), I have formated 4 times the tablet and installed ubuntu from ekoore iso and I notice that it is different from installation to installation. Now it takes about 6 seconds in the purple screen, but sometimes (about once a week), it takes almost 3 minutes. Again, I don't know if the problem is related with g_sensor, but since I disabled it from system startup I notice the "long boot" is happened less often.

I suffered that problem. Read my posts, I wish they help you: http://www.ekoore.com/forum/index.php/topic,431.0.html I'm pretty sure that the problem is on the ekoore iso, I solved it installing from official 11.10 iso. Almost everything works "out of the box", the start delay and screen poweroff are gone.

I have to install twofing compling from source. Unfortunately I've lost g_sensor, I've created a script to "manually" rotate the screen
